Totally Wigged Out!

Totally Wigged Out!

I tried something new today and totally wigged out – literally!

Everyone who knows me knows my mother is the Queen of wigs. My mom is such a cutie pie and loves to coordinate all of her outfits – from the shirt to the earrings, rings, watches and even the wig.
There was a time when wigs were totally taboo, but we’ve all seen how that’s changed. It’s a wig phenomenon now! Some of our most beloved and favorite celebrities wear the wigs from the stage to the streets and influence everyone else to go for the same look.

For the last few years, my mom has been rocking a variety of wigs and she totally knows how to rock them and where to get the right look. Whenever she’s in town, I know without a doubt that we’ll make a trip to the local wig shop. Usually, I just go with her, watch her look through all of the wigs and patiently wait for her to make a selection. But today was a little different. After years of rejecting the whole idea, I finally crossed over and purchased a wig today, thanks to my mom!

Initially when I sat in the chair, my only intent was to try on a wig just to see how it would look. Little did I know I would leave out of the store wearing the same wig. I totally changed my look for the rest of the day and actually liked it. My mom…she loved it! She was like a proud mom watching her daughter try on the wig for the first time. It put the biggest smile on my mom’s face. Hilarious! It feels totally weird but it’s a totally different look.

Now, I know why so many women, including my mom, are totally hooked to these. So kudos to all the wig lovers across the world! It’s fun to change it up. It’ll take some getting used to, but I’ll enjoy it for now. Besides, the bonding and fun time shared with my mother was priceless and it’ll be an experience I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

I remember when I bought my first wig! Lol, it felt weird to me too, but it eventually grew on me. I hear they are addictive though! I love yours, kinda reminds me of Barbie! 🙂
